Abstract

A cleaning system (20) for a gas turbine engine (100) includes a foam supply unit (26) for generating cleaning foam (194) that is injected into the gas turbine engine (100), and an air blower (180) that is operably coupled to a core flowpath (121) of the gas turbine engine (100), the air blower (180) being configured to draw a flow of air (182) through the core flowpath (121) at a flow rate that induces rotation of the gas turbine engine (100) at a target rotational speed.
