Abstract

A wash system (300A, 300B) for washing a gas turbine engine (10) includes a particulate reservoir (405) for storing a cleaning material and at least one particulate supply line (410) coupled to the particulate reservoir (405) and configured to supply the cleaning material to an engine inlet of the gas turbine engine (10). The cleaning material is at least partially in a solid state and comprises a detergent. Each particulate (450) of the cleaning material comprises a first plurality of particles (455) and a second plurality of particles (460) different from the first plurality of particles (455). The first plurality of particles (455) at least partially surrounding the second plurality of particles (460).
