Abstract

An elevator installation (100) including an elevator car (102), and an elevator controller (105). The elevator car (102) has a Cabin Operating Panel (102-a). Further, the elevator controller (105) is coupled to the elevator car (102) and configured to control one or more operations associated with the one or more components of the elevator installation (100). At least one remote indicator panel (122) is adapted to be communicatively coupled to the elevator controller (105) using a remote attachment port (124) located at, at least one of a roof (102-1) of the elevator car (102), the COP (102a) of the elevator car (102), or inside the elevator pit (114) of the elevator installation (100). The at least one remote indicator panel (122) is adapted to be connected to the remote attachment port (124) via a travelling cable (120) and/or an elevator pit monitoring bus (126).
