Abstract

A system 100 for wash time estimation for aircraft components 300, 310 includes a processor 220 and a memory 230. The memory 230 includes instructions which, when executed by the processor 220, cause the system 100 at least to perform capturing an image of a surface of a stud 308 disposed in a portion of an aircraft component 300, 310; determining a volume of particulate matter 314 on a surface of the stud 308 based on the captured image; providing, by an analytic model, a wash parameter based on the volume of particulate matter 314; and recommending a wash based on the determined wash parameter.
