Abstract
A fuel injector (100) is provided for a turbine engine (10) comprising a compression section (12), a combustion section (14), and a turbine section (16) is serial flow arrangement. The fuel injector (100) includes an outer wall (102) surrounding an injector passage (104) and defining a longitudinal injector axis (106). The injector passage (104) exhausts at an injector outlet (110) and defines a flow direction (FD) through the injector passage (104). A first converging portion (130) is provided in the outer wall (102). A swirler assembly (124) configured to provide a swirled airflow to the injector passage (104) upstream of the first converging portion (130) relative to the flow direction (FD). A first set of fuel passages (140) are provided in annular arrangement about the outer wall (102) fluidly exhausting to the injector passage (104) downstream of the first converging portion (130) relative to the flow direction (FD).
