Abstract
The present invention relates to a filling system for a cooling tower. The filling system comprising a filling material being permeable to air and water. The filling material being electrically conductive. The filling system further comprising a first electrical connector and a second electrical connector that are operationally connected to the filling material and spaced apart in relation to each other. The filling system further comprising an electrical power source operationally connected to the first electrical connector and the second electrical connector and configured to supply an electric current to the filling material via the first electrical connector and the second electrical connector for reducing growth of microorganisms in the cooling tower.
