Abstract
A method for inspecting a component (66) for an aircraft propulsion system (22, 68) with an impedance-measuring inspection system (64) includes, for each of a plurality of different positions on the component (66), positioning a probe assembly (70) of the impedance-measuring inspection system (64) at one of the plurality of different positions with a first electrode (80) and a second electrode (82) of the probe assembly (70) contacting the component (66), measuring an impedance of the component (66) between the first electrode (80) and the second electrode (82) over a frequency range extending between a first alternating current (AC) frequency and a second AC frequency, and determining an impedance differential (112) of the impedance over the frequency range. The method further includes identifying a presence or an absence of a defect condition of the component (66) using an impedance differential profile (118, 120) for the component (66) including the impedance differential (112) at each of the plurality of different positions on the component (66).
