Abstract

The invention relates to a remote programming assembly (100), comprising: an implantable medical device (101); a programming device (103) located remote from the implantable medical device (101); and a patient device (102) operatively connected to the implantable medical device (101) and to the programming device (103). The patient device (102) and the implantable medical device (101) are designed and configured to communicate via a near-field communication with each other. In addition, the patient device (102) and the implantable medical device (101) are designed and configured to allow a reprogramming of operational parameters of the implantable medical device (101) only upon activation of a physical user interface element (1023) of the patient device (102) by a user.
