Abstract

A secondary battery, a positive electrode active material, and a power consuming apparatus are provided. The secondary battery includes a positive electrode plate, where the positive electrode plate includes a positive electrode active material, the positive electrode active material includes secondary particles, and the secondary particle is an agglomerated particle including a plurality of primary particles; and the primary particles include a positive electrode active substance; the secondary particles include oriented secondary particles; and in the oriented secondary particle, based on a total quantity of primary particles in the oriented secondary particle, a quantity proportion of primary particles whose a-axes form angles α1 with the longitudinal directions in the oriented secondary particle is denoted as F1, where 15° ≤ α1 ≤ 45°, and F1 ≥ 60%.
