Abstract

The battery module of the present disclosure includes a main body portion that supplies or stores electrical energy and tab portions that protrude from one side of the main body portion, and comprises: a plurality of battery cells stacked in a preset first direction; 8 a module case accommodating the plurality of battery cells; a plurality of first bus bars, which are coupled to any one of first surfaces of the tab portions formed in a second direction in which the tab portions protrude within the module case and in a third direction perpendicular to the first direction and the second direction, and are provided in a number as many as that of the tab portions; and a second bus bar which extends in the first direction inside the module case and is coupled to at least some of the plurality of first bus bars to electrically connect the plurality of battery cells to the outside.
