Abstract
A method for operating a fiber-optical line system, wherein a first transceiver of the fiber-optical line system transmits light signals via a fiber-optical line of the fiber-optical line system to a second transceiver of the fiber-optical line system, the first transceiver and the second transceiver respectively connected to opposite free ends of the fiber-optical line and the fiber-optical line comprising a plurality of separate optical cables and a plurality of in-line erbium-doted fiber amplifiers, EDFA, interconnecting the separate optical cables; an orchestration system for a fiber-optical line system, a fiber-optic transmission system and a computer program product.
