Abstract

There is provided a method for remote servicing and technical support of imaging equipment that involves obtaining information from a local node with at least one imaging system is disclosed. The method establishes a two-way secure communication channel between a local and a remote node operator, wherein identity confirmation of the remote operator occurs through a database, granting access to the local node's imaging system peripheral devices upon approval. The method includes generating media events transmitted to the remote node, transmitting information streams via a e.g. WebRTC channel, and allowing remote operators to access multiple local systems. The method also involves capturing local node screens with a virtual camera module and transmitting peripheral device inputs to the remote node. A receiver module on the remote node receives shared screens and emulated inputs, enabling remote change requests through keyboard and mouse events.
