Abstract

Method for closed loop calibration of a digital print module (20), the method comprising: feeding (S2) a printed paperboard web (10) continuously in a machine direction (MD), capturing (S3) actual measured Lab values (32) of a test subsection (12) of the paperboard web (10), wherein the test subsection (12) forms part of a final décor of the paperboard web (10) and of a packaging container being produced by the paperboard web (10), determining (S4) a delta between the actual measured Lab values (32) and a targeted Lab set (31), calibrating (S5) the digital print module (20) based on the delta between the actual measured Lab values (32) and the targeted Lab set (31).
