Abstract

This application provides a communication connection method and a terminal device, and pertains to the field of mobile phone device communication. The method includes: when there is a Wi-Fi disconnection event, obtaining a disconnection reason code corresponding to the Wi-Fi disconnection event, where the disconnection reason code indicates a reason why a Wi-Fi connection drops, and the Wi-Fi disconnection event is that the Wi-Fi connection between a first AP and a terminal device drops; and reconnecting to the first AP based on the disconnection reason code. This method can be used to address poor user experience caused by frequent Wi-Fi disconnection.
