Abstract

A semiconductor light emitting device for a display pixel according to an embodiment includes a light emitting structure including a first conductivity-type semiconductor layer, an active layer, and a second conductivity-type semiconductor layer; a first electrode disposed below the light emitting structure; and a second electrode disposed on the light emitting structure, and may include a first passivation layer extending from on the second electrode to a side surface of the first conductivity-type semiconductor layer.
