Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a urine collection device. The urine collection device comprises a liquid impermeable layer at least partially defining an interior volume, wherein the liquid impermeable layer comprises a urine inlet opening and a collection region. The urine collection device further comprises a conduit comprising a first opening being in communication with the urine collection region, and an absorbent material arranged inside the interior volume and extending from the urine inlet opening towards the urine collection region to define a low flow urine transportation path. The urine collection device further comprises a high flow urine transportation path extending from the urine inlet opening to the urine collection region, wherein a urine flow rate per unit area is higher for the high flow urine transportation path compared to the low flow urine transportation path.
