Abstract

The present invention discloses a composition for the treatment of androgen-dependent disorders, such as androgenetic alopecia, benign prostatic hyperplasia, and prostate cancer, comprising a Serenoa repens extract as an active ingredient, and excipients, suitable for forming a stable, homogeneous matrix in the form of an emulsion when mixed with the Serenoa repens extract, appropriately dosed, in the presence of water; said emulsion is also suitable to be made into a powder by spray drying, thereby maintaining the biological activity of the composition.
