Abstract

Museum showcase comprising a display space 14 enclosed in a case 11 closed by an openable door 12, held in the closed position by a magnetic coupling between a first magnetic element 15 on the case 11 and a second magnetic element 16 on the door 12. The showcase comprises an opening aid unit 20, which comprises: - a lever 21, mounted on the case 11 near the door 12, angularly movable about a pivot axis X between a first position and a second position and operable from outside the showcase; - an abutting element 22, provided on the door 12 near the lever 21 when the door 12 is closed; - a contact end 28 of the lever 21, remote from the pivot axis X. The contact end 28 of the lever 21, in the first position of the lever 21, interferes with the abutting element 22 so as to impose a displacement of the door 12 from the case 11, while, in the second position of the lever 21, it does not impose any displacement of the door 12 from the case 11. The opening aid unit 20, thanks to the lever 21 and the abutting element 22, allows for a smooth opening of the door 12 by applying a force between the door 12 and the case 11.
