Abstract

A first mathematical formula is prepared that allows a decision to be made about a rolling bearing (10) including an inner ring (11), an outer ring (12), a plurality of rolling elements (13), and a lubricant (LQ). It is decided according to use conditions for the rolling bearing (10) whether or not a first mathematical formula satisfies a second mathematical formula, the first mathematical formula being expressed as: F=fαβγδ the second mathematical formula being expressed as: F≤10 When calculating a parameter for the lubricant (LQ), the lubricant (LQ) is divided into a first region and a second region. A characteristic value of an imaginary element assumed for the first and second regions in an imaginary electric circuit corresponding to the rolling bearing (10) is obtained.
