Abstract
An arrangement for characterizing a radio frequency (RF) device, DUT, is provided using a calibrated noise source, CNS (20), a vector network analyzer (10, VNA), a spectrum analyzer (10, SA), a switching assembly (300, 50) and a processing unit (60) configured to control the switching assembly (300, 50) and to estimate the characteristics of the RF device based on measurements performed by the VNA. In some embodiments the arrangement estimates S-parameters of the noise path from a computation using S-parameters of a signal path comprising in addition to the noise-path a further component and the inverted S-parameters of that component.
