Abstract

A control device that controls a rotation shaft of a machine tool. The control device is configured to execute estimation processing of estimating an inertia of the rotation shaft; determination processing of determining a gain of a drive unit configured to drive the rotation shaft, based on the inertia estimated by the estimation processing; and drive processing of driving the rotation shaft with the gain determined in the determination processing, the rotation shaft reaching a target speed.
