Abstract
A calendering system according to the present disclosure includes a calendering apparatus configured to compress a mixture including an active material and a binder, the calendering apparatus including a calender roll having an overlapping area positioned to overlap with the mixture and a non-overlapping area positioned to limit overlapping with the mixture; a pair of sensor devices configured to sense the mixture having a pair of edges adjacent to the non-overlapping area and the non-overlapping area; and a control unit configured to determine a thickness at each of the pair of edges of the mixture based on information of the mixture and the non-overlapping area sensed by the pair of sensor devices.
