Abstract

A method ad an apparatus for encoding or decoding a video are provided. A CABAC context for encoding/decoding a flag is obtained where the flag indicates use of an affine mode to predict a block of the video in a first inter mode or in a second inter mode. The flag is encoded/decoded using the CABAC context, wherein encoding or decoding the flag takes into account the occurrences of usage of the affine mode between the first inter mode and the second inter mode.
