Abstract
A system, such as a driver monitoring system (DMS) for a vehicle, includes a first infrared (IR) camera, a second IR camera, a sensor, and a controller. The first camera is configured to output a first IR light, such as to illuminate a driver of the vehicle with the first IR light for use of the first camera in monitoring the driver. The second camera is configured to output a second IR light, such as to illuminate the driver with a second IR light for use of the second camera in monitoring the driver. The sensor is configured to detect the first IR light being outputted by the first camera. The controller is configured to control the second camera to not output the second IR light while the sensor detects the first IR light being outputted by the first camera.
