Abstract

The invention relates to an applicator device (1) comprising an applicator tip (100) and a container part (200), wherein the container part (200) comprises: (i) a container (210) comprising a container wall (211), a valve (220), and a plunger (230), wherein the container wall (211), the valve (220), and the plunger (230) together define a storage volume (250) for containing a liquid, wherein the plunger (230) comprises a circumferential wall (235), sealingly contacting the container wall (211); and (ii) a plunger advance system (300) functionally coupled to the plunger (230) and configured to advance the plunger (230) for reducing the storage volume (250) for expelling at least part of the liquid via said valve (220) to said tip (100), wherein the plunger advance system (300) is arranged outside the storage volume (250); wherein (a) the valve (220) comprises a first spring system (225) comprising a first spring material (226) comprising a stainless steel material comprising a molybdenum content selected in the range of 0.5-7 wt.%, and (b) the plunger advance system (300) comprises a second spring system (325) comprising a second spring material (326) comprising a stainless steel material comprising a molybdenum content selected in the range of 0.5-7 wt.%, applies; and the plunger advance system (300) comprises a polymer (310) selected from the group consisting of polypropylene (PP), ethylene chlorotrifluoroethylene (ECTFE), and polyoxymethylene (POM); and wherein the plunger advance system (300) comprises a spindle system (350) comprising a ratchet system (353) comprising a first element (355) and a second element (356), wherein the second spring system is configured to provide the first element (355) and the second element (356) to engage on each other.
