Abstract

A plunger rod including an elongated body having a proximal end, a distal end opposite the proximal end, and a longitudinal axis extending between the proximal end and the distal end, wherein in a cross-sectional plane transverse to the longitudinal axis, the elongated body including: a first segment defining a first end and a second end; a second segment laterally spaced from the first segment, the second segment defining a first end and a second end; a third segment extending from the first segment to the second segment, wherein the third segment is axially spaced from the first end of the first segment and the first end of the second segment; a fourth segment extending from the second end of the first segment; and a fifth segment extending from the second end of the second segment.
