Abstract
A respiratory system for providing respiratory support to a patient, the system comprising:a nasal interface and a gas conduit for delivering a flow of gases to an outlet of the nasal interface, anda flow controller for selectively controlling the flow of gas into nasal interface, the flow controller configured to operate when a pressure in the system is above a predetermined value to restrict or prevent the flow of gas into the nasal interface from the gas conduit.
