Abstract

The present invention relates to a robot comprising: a robot body in which a battery is accommodated; two wheels disposed at a lower portion of the robot body, wherein balance control is performed such that the two wheels are rotationally driven in a direction opposite to a tilted direction when a center of gravity of the robot body is tilted; two leg units connected between the robot body and the wheels; an arm of an integrated structure including a pair of rotation coupling portions respectively disposed on left and right sides and rotatably coupled to the robot body, and a connection portion connecting the pair of rotation coupling portions to each other; and a sensing unit for detecting a ground obstacle located in a driving path of the wheels. When the sensing unit detects the ground obstacle existing in front of a driving direction of the robot, the robot is configured to form a three-point support form with respect to at least one object by releasing the balance control in a state where the connection portion is disposed in front of the robot body.
