Abstract

A method for manufacturing plasterboard based on predefined quality parameters comprising the steps of mixing a combination of calcined gypsum, water, and hardness-enhancing additives to form a slurry (102), dispensing it onto a facing sheet (103) and encapsulating it with another sheet (104) to form a hardened plasterboard, measuring the hardness by a durometer (109) by applying a force onto a durometer's (109) indenter (110), whereby the force is limited to a threshold based on the combination, calculating a deviation between a desired hardness and the measured hardness, and providing deviation-related data for further use.
