Abstract
Example approaches are disclosed for manufacturing fiber reinforced parts. A mixture of a fibrous material and a matrix material is consolidated into skin layers each of which represents an individual skin layer. Portions of a core structure material are injected into a mold in which at least one of the skin layers is placed. The portions of the core structure material are fused with the at least one of the skin layers to create a part with a hybrid structure.
