Abstract

A straddled vehicle includes a pair of left and right retractable footboards. The pair of left and right retractable footboards are: disposed forward of a pair of left and right main footrests; members different from the pair of left and right main footrests; and configured to allow a main rider who is driving the straddled vehicle to place his/her feet thereon instead of on the pair of left and right main footrests while sitting on a main rider seat. The pair of left and right retractable footboards each include a main rider foot placement surface configured such that the main rider who is driving the straddled vehicle places his/her feet thereon while sitting on the main rider seat, and are each configured to be able to maintain two stable stationary states. The straddled vehicle is capable of improving the degree of freedom of a foot placement position at which a main rider places his/her foot while driving the straddled vehicle; improving the footing of the main rider; and improving the visibility of the main rider's foot and therearound.
