Abstract

A fluoride phosphor containing: manganese; fluorine; an element M including at least one selected from the group consisting of Group 4 elements, Group 13 elements, and Group 14 elements; and at least one selected from the group consisting of an alkali metal and an ammonium ion. When the total number of moles of the alkali metal and the ammonium ion is 2, the number of moles of the manganese is greater than 0 and less than 0.2, the total number of moles of the element M is greater than 0.8 and less than 1, and the number of moles of the fluorine is greater than 5 and less than 7. The fluoride phosphor has a particle diameter ratio (Da/Dm) that is 0.85 or greater, where Da is a mean particle diameter measured by a FSSS method, and Dm is a volume median diameter measured by a laser diffraction particle size distribution measurement method.
