Abstract
The cap (2) for closing an opening (1.3) of a container (1) for biological material, has a closure face (2.2) suitable for covering an opening (1.3) of a mating container (1). The closure face (2.2) is designed to separate an outside area (11) from an inside area (10) of the container (1). The closure face (2.2) has a septum (3), the septum (3) providing a flexible port area (3.2), wherein the port area (3.2) is designed to be opened by a conduit (4). The flexible port area (3.2) is shaped as a dome protruding towards the outside area (11).
