Abstract

The present invention relates to a method of recovering lithium. More particularly, the present invention relates to a method of recovering lithium, including a step of obtaining a leachate, in which a lithium component is dissolved, from cathode material powder, and a step of purifying a lithium component by introducing the leachate into a flow capacitive deionization apparatus. According to the method of the present invention, by easily removing impurities from a leachate, in which a lithium component is dissolved from cathode material powder, through an electrochemical adsorption and desorption process, high-purity lithium may be recovered, and an eco-friendly benefit may be obtained by reducing an amount of wastewater generated. In addition, by simultaneously performing the purification and filtration of lithium, the process may be simpler than a conventional process, a continuous process is possible, and processing cost and energy may be reduced.
