Abstract

The present disclosure concerns a hub (1) for a rotor of a wind turbine, comprising a hub body (2), comprising a first flange (3), and at least one second flange (5) configured for supporting a rotor blade, the at least one second flange defining a second flange area (6) of the hub body. The hub body further comprises a stiffening element (7) extending within at least a portion of the second flange area, wherein a cross section of the stiffening element comprises a center portion (lla) with a constant thickness along a width direction and at least one edge portion (llb) configured with a variable thickness along the width direction.
