Abstract
An ejector includes a nozzle portion (71) and a body portion (72). A suction port (721), a mixing portion (722), and an outlet (724) are formed in the body portion (72). The mixing portion (722) includes a tapered mixing portion (722a) and a divergent mixing portion (722b). The tapered mixing portion (722a) accelerates a velocity of mixed fluid to a value equal to or higher than a speed of sound. The divergent mixing portion (722b) generates a shock wave in the mixed fluid flowing out of the tapered mixing portion (722a) and eliminates the generated shock wave. The tapered mixing portion (722a) forms a fluid passage having a shape with a passage cross-sectional area reduced in the flow direction of the mixed fluid. The divergent mixing portion (722b) forms a fluid passage having a shape with a passage cross-sectional area increased in the flow direction of the mixed fluid.
