Abstract

A door brake (10) including: a braking arm (20) extending longitudinally between a first end (22) and a second end (24) along an axis (A-A), the braking arm including one or more engagement surface (36a, 36b), the braking arm being configured to be translated axially between at least a first position and a second position, and the engagement surface being configured to receive an engagement force exerted on the engagement surface when the braking arm is translated from the first position toward the second position; and one or more braking element (40a, 40b) configured to engage the engagement surface of the braking arm to exert the engagement force on the engagement surface.
