Abstract
The present invention relates to a cooking appliance and a control method for controlling a camera setting value depending on the open state of a door, and the cooking appliance cooking a food ingredient according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a cooking module heating the food ingredient; a door opening or closing one side of the cooking module; a camera disposed in the door and capturing the food ingredient placed in the cooking module; a door sensor sensing the opening or closing of the door; and an appliance controller controlling an auto exposure (AE) value, which is a parameter for setting an automatic exposure of the camera, and an auto white balance (AWB) value, which is a parameter for setting an automatic white balance of the camera, depending on an open state or close state of the door sensed by the door sensor.
