Abstract

A combination weighing apparatus includes a first stepping motor 51, which has a heat emitting surface HS, and a load cell 90. The load cell 90 has a strain element 90a and an electrical circuit including a first temperature-sensitive resistor R1. The strain element 90a has a first thin portion TH1 to which a first strain gauge 1G1 is attached, a second thin portion TH2 to which a second strain gauge 2G1 is attached, and a first central portion C1 disposed between them. The first central portion C1 has a first surface C1A that opposes the heat emitting surface HS of the first stepping motor 51 and a second surface C1B that does not oppose the heat emitting surface HS. The first temperature-sensitive resistor R1 is secured to the second surface C1B.
