Abstract

A protective cover (20) is for covering an optical gas sensor (10). The gas sensor includes: a casing body (11) that has a hollow part (13) into which a gas is introduced and a gas intake port (111, 112) that communicates with the hollow part; and a light source (2) and a light receiver (4) disposed to face each other with the hollow part in-between. The gas sensor is mounted on a board (6) and detects a gas concentration inside the hollow part, based on a detection signal of the light receiver that receives light emitted by the light source. The protective cover is box-shaped and has a wall. One side of the box-shaped protective cover is open. At least part of the wall has an opening (21A) provided with a filter (23). At an open edge of the one side, the protective cover has at least a pair of fitting pieces (22) to be fitted to fitting portions (6a) of the board.
