Abstract
Systems and methods for dynamically determining water quality for a water system are disclosed. A controller includes, and/or has access to, electronically stored thresholds separating zones representing states of the water system, one of the thresholds ("composite threshold") is specific to a composite water quality metric ("CWQM") and a plurality of the thresholds ("characteristic thresholds") are each specific to a respective characteristic of a sample of the water system. The controller receives data from sensors for measuring the characteristics, and determines, for each of the characteristics, a proximity of an associated measurement(s) to an associated characteristic threshold. The controller uses the determined proximities to adjust the CWQM, and determine a current state of the water system based thereon relative to the composite threshold, a representation of which is communicated to electronic device(s).
