Abstract

The image analysis apparatus comprises a posture calculation unit that calculates a plurality of posture information items respectively indicating postures of a plurality of facets constituting a surface of a three-dimensional model, the three-dimensional model being placed in a virtual space and representing a target object in a real space, a reference calculation unit that calculates reference plane information indicating a reference plane based on three or more surface location information items, the surface location information items respectively indicating locations of three or more specific spots on the three-dimensional model, and a relative posture calculation unit that calculates relative posture information items indicating postures of the facets relative to the reference plane based on the posture information items and the reference plane information.
