Abstract

A positive electrode for a lithium secondary battery according to embodiments of the present disclosure comprises a positive electrode active material layer containing a positive electrode active material and having a density of 3 g/cm<3> or more, wherein the positive electrode active material includes lithium metal oxide particles containing cobalt, the content of cobalt being 0 mol% (exclusive) to 15 mol% (inclusive) relative to the total number of moles of elements excluding lithium and oxygen. The difference between the charge/discharge efficiency and the charge/discharge efficiency after 10 additional charge/discharge cycles in a half-cell comprising the positive electrode for a lithium secondary battery is less than 1%.
