Abstract

A positive electrode may include both a first positive electrode active material having an olivine crystal structure and a second positive electrode active material having a layered crystal structure in the positive electrode active layer, resulting in high safety and excellent charge/discharge capacity of the positive electrode. In addition, the positive electrode may have the advantage of excellent energy density and output, which may be a result of including a first positive electrode active material represented by a chemical formula as defined in the specification and which includes three or more metals in addition to lithium.
