Abstract
The present invention relates to a positive electrode active material comprising a lithium nickel-based oxide, and a coating layer formed on the lithium nickel-based oxide and comprising a compound represented by [Formula 2] below, and a method for preparing the same. [Formula 2] Li<sub>x</sub>Mn<sub>y</sub>M<sup>4</sup><sub>z</sub>O<sub>w</sub>In [Formula 2], M<sup>4</sup> is Al or Mo, x is an integer from 2 to 8, y is an integer from 2 to 8, z is an integer from 1 to 12, and w is an integer from 8 to 48.
