Abstract
A battery cell according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes an electrode assembly; and a battery case including a first cover portion and a second cover portion covering both sides of the electrode assembly in a thickness direction. A recessed terrace forming portion is formed at both edges of at least one of the first cover portion or the second cover portion, and the first cover portion and the second cover portion are sealed together at the terrace forming portion.
