Abstract

The present invention provides a structure of a battery module, including: a cell laminate including a pouch accommodating an electrode assembly, and a plurality of pouch-type battery cells, each of the plurality of pouch-type battery cells provided with an electrode lead extending from the electrode assembly and protruding through a first lengthwise end of the pouch; a bus bar assembly including: a bus bar frame disposed at a first lengthwise end of the cell laminate, the bus bar frame provided with a slit where the electrode lead is inserted; and a bus bar provided at a first lengthwise end of the bus bar frame and connected to the electrode lead inserted in the slit; and a shield member including a flame retardant material, the shield member disposed at a second lengthwise end with respect to the bus bar and including a through-hole where the electrode lead is inserted.
