Abstract

The present invention provides a structure of a battery cell and a structure of a battery module including one or more battery cells, the battery cell including: a pouch accommodating an electrode assembly; an electrode lead extending from the electrode assembly and protruding through a first lengthwise end of the pouch; a shield member comprising a flame retardant material, the shield member provided at the first lengthwise end of the pouch and comprising a through-hole where the electrode lead is passed through, wherein an inner circumferential surface of the through-hole corresponds to an outer circumferential surface of the electrode lead.
