Abstract

An energy storage device according to embodiments may include a battery module including battery cells, and a gas discharging device connected to the battery module. The gas discharging device may include a filling portion filled with an extinguishing agent, a void path for moving exhaust gas discharge from the battery module and the extinguishing agent input from the filling portion, a first vent portion disposed between the filling portion and the void path, and a mixing portion connected to the void path, for mixing the exhaust gas and the extinguishing agent input from the void path and discharging mixed gas to an outside.
