Abstract
The present disclosure relates to a separator for an electrochemical device and an electrochemical device including the same, and more particularly, to a separator for an electrochemical device, wherein a coating layer provided on a porous polymer substrate includes inorganic particles, and the metal oxide in the inorganic particles has a controlled grain size, so that gas generation during the operation of an electrochemical device may be reduced, thereby improving the explosion safety of the electrochemical device, and an electrochemical device including the same.
